It is typically enjoyed rokku, i. e. in a glass with a large amount of ice cubes, often adding a little water. The taste of the different types varies a lot, with shochu brewed on rice having a very mild taste, while Imo shochu, brewed on sweet potatoes, has a very aromatic taste. Sanwa Iichiko is a shochu brewed on barley and offers a light aromatic flavour, which is great for
