The School was founded in 1799 by the Religious Society of Friends, the Quakers. This makes Elizabeth's sampler one of the earlier pieces from the school. The school is still in operation today. Such elegance and simplicity. The layout of it is very pleasing to the eye as is the Roman style alphabet that was favored by Quaker schools. There are several samplers similar in style with
